Lucky me! I ve discovered something we ve always been looking for. A small resort, not one of those highrise concrete and brick walls but a small, intimate place you can call home right on a very private island hideaway in Thai Eastern Seashore.

It may be small but what a touch of class! And it s only a step away from diving and snorkeling spots. The resort (as you can see from the pictures) hasn t missed out on anything and is delightful elegant.

All 28 bungalows are located in various panorama of the sea, sand and sun with lots of little personal touches. It has to have been created just for people like you and me with all those special comforts and privacy for small resort can provide. I love it! Don t forget the name - KohMak Resort.

Under the guide of professional Thai cook, you are offered the best of Thai cuisine. Dishes which propose the most various flavors, from the spicy to the piquant. The specialties of the restaurant are fish, seafood and chicken, served with seasoned vegetables, rice and noodles, and fruits as dessert.

Those who still like to have western dishes, they are also available. In Koh Mak, foreign tourism is still unknown, but the staff will listen to all your wishes trying to fulfill them at the best, with the typical Thai kindness.

- Motor bike & Mountain bike for rent: To explore the island of 15 sq.km. in area, with a route map you will be guided to travel around the island in one day, sight seeing along the rubber plantation and coconut groves, beautiful bay and different beaches in various atmosphere.

- Windsurfing School and Archery : Silver Windsurfer Organized by a French family, provided various type of surfing boards from beginners to fun boards, you can take private lessons or in groups with reasonable charges. Archery field located beside the windsurfing school ready for you to take an exciting competition.

- Scuba Diving School: Welcome all diving students and experienced divers. We teach all PADI diving courses. The depth of dives is between 10 to 30 meters. Diving spots are chosen to satisfy both beginners and experienced divers. Hard and soft corals, the tropical underwater flora and the several species of multicolor fishes are the most delightful objects for underwater photographers and film makers.

- Boat trip for Snorkeling & Fishing: Boat & equipment for rent, the boat will take you to Koh Kra, Koh Rang, Koh Kham for snorkeling and also to many good fishing spots. You can rent the boat for half day or full day trips. Because Koh Mak located almost in the center of other islands, so it s very easy to travel to Koh Wai, Koh Kood, or even Koh Chang.

- Water sport activities: Sight seeing trip to Koh Kham which located in front of the Resort only 10 minutes away by a long tail boat, or you can rent a canoe going around the bay.

By private car
From Bangkok take the motor way Bangkok-Chonburi then go to Baan Bueng-Klaeng highway, take Sukhumvit highway to Chantaburi, Trat, and Laem Ngob.

By air cond. Bus
Go to eastern bus terminal at Ekamai road, take an air conditioned bus directly to Trat. About 4.5 hours travel time. From Trat take a taxi to LaemNgob.

By mini bus
Go to Khaosaan road take an air cond. minibus go directly to LaemNgob
